  15. Five Musicians is a new form of a get together on the computer music scene.
  16. It's not a regular music group, but rather a band.  We intend to work solo
  17. as normal, but also (to the point of a band) work together on releases.
  18.  
  19. So what really is FM?  As the name implies, it is five musicians getting
  20. together for what they like doing best--music.  These five people are (in
  21. no particular order) James Storer (Big Jim / Valhalla), Dan Grandpre
  22. (Basehead / Kosmic Free Music Foundation), Jonne Valtonen
  23. (Purple Motion / Future Crew),  Andrew Sega (Necros / Legend Design) and
  24. Jaakko Manninen (Mellow-D / Surprise! Productions, Hardcode).

  26. Our coming releases include (apart from "solo-appearances") several
  27. co-op tunes, either in MOD, S3M, XM or CD format and, hopefully, several
  28. music disks.

  30. "How do I contact the members or the band?"

  32. We're all on IRC, that's where you should start for normal chatter.  We
  33. all use our handles as nicknames, except for Mellow-D (Jak on IRC, long
  34. story).

  48. All the new releases are first uploaded to ftp.mpoli.fi.  After the uploads
  49. are reviewed and are moved to the correct places, you can find FM-stuff in
  50. the directory /starport/music/fm.  There should always be an index appended
  51. to the end of this file!
