  4. Welcome to PhotoEnhancer We hope you enjoy this award-
  5. winning product from PictureWorks!  Below are just a couple 
  6. of helpful items and new features you might be interested 
  7. in.  Please refer to the user documentation for full details 
  8. and instructions on using PhotoEnhancer Plus.

  10. Tips and Tricks
  11. 1.  When cancelling a SmartPix, Enhance or Effects operation
  12. there may be a slight delay before processing actually stops. 
  13.  
  14. 2.  When using images saved in 256 colors, PhotoEnhancer 
  15. Plus automatically converts them to Millions of Colors (24-
  16. bit) as they are opened.  This is done to allow the images 
  17. to be edited properly.  When saving these images back to 
  18. disk, the Color Depth option in the Save and Save As dialog 
  19. boxes will default to Millions of Colors.  Choose a 
  20. different color depth for the dialog box if you want them 
  21. saved in a different way.

  23. 3. PhotoEnhancer is designed to work with Thousands and 
  24. Millions of colors.  Therefore enhancement options are not 
  25. accessible with any lower color depth.

  27. 4. In order for Cards & Calendars to be present within the 
  28. application, it must be selected during the Custom Install.
  29.  
  30. 5. If you have problems connecting to your device please contact
  31. the device manufacturer's technical support.
