- Darts Scorekeeper (for 501)
-
-
- Thanks for trying the Darts Scorekeeper. It is a small (4K), simple PalmPilot
- application for keeping score when playing darts. It's quite easy to use, but
- we'll go through a few basics anyway.
-
- 501 Scorekeeper is shareware, with a cost of $5.00. This is a fully-
- functional version of the program, however, registration has benefits.
-

-
- Benefits of Registration
-
- As a registered user of 501 Scorekeeper, you will receive:
-
- 1. Free or low-cost upgrades to any possible future versions of the
- program.
- 2. A free copy of its companion program, Cricket Scorekeeper, for those
- darts players who play both games (this is the only way to get
- Cricket Scorekeeper. It is, and will not, be available for download.)
- 3. My undying gratitude.
-
- So, please, consider registering your copy of 501 Scorekeeper. Come on, it's
- less than you'd spend at McDonald's for lunch.
-
-
-
-
- How to Register Your Copy
-
- 1. Print out the registration form(register.txt, it came in the .zip file).
- 2. Fill out the registration form. Be sure to include your e-mail address
- so that I can e-mail you a copy of Cricket Scorekeeper, and keep
- you informed of future enhancements and updates.
- 3. Enclose a check or money order for $5.00 U.S. made out to:
- Stephen T. Wangner
- 4. Mail the registration form and check or money order to:
- Stephen T. Wangner
- 60 Henry Street
- N. Valley Stream, NY 11580-1016
- USA
-
- Simple, isn't it? Why not register then? Not only do you get the Cricket
- Scorekeeper, you support future development efforts not only by myself, but
- all other PalmPilot developers.

- Instructions for using 501 Scorekeeper
-
- Once the application has started, you'll notice the screen is layed out in two
- columns, one for Player 1 and one for Player 2. Enter the respective player's
- names in the text fields under the "Player 1" and "Player 2" labels.
-
- Then, tap the "Reset Scores" button to set each player's original score at 501.
-
- When a player scores, enter the score from that turn in the text field under
- the "This Turn" label in the appropriate column, and hit the "Subtract" button.
- This will subtract this turn's score from the player's current score, and clear
- the "This Turn" field.
-
- Note: This program is designed to be used with the standard "Double-in,
- Double-out" version of 501, so a score of 1 is not possible, and the program
- will not let you subtract a turn score that would leave a player with an
- overall score of 1.
-
- The program will remember its data between runs, so it is possible to switch
- to another application and come back and pick up right where you left off.
-
- That's It!!!
-
-
- Have fun,
-
