  13. Introduction:
  14. =============
  15. This program will help you keep those prying eyes out of your
  16. personal data.  I have written this program because of the security
  17. problem with the Pilot: Any records marked secret on the Pilot can
  18. easily be read with any binary editor on the PC.  Data that is
  19. encrypted with this program can only be decrypted with the password
  20. it was encrypted with.

  23. Limits for Shareware version:

  25. The shareware version has two limits:
  26.   - Maximum number of records is 5
  27.   - Annoying Registration reminder

  46. Instructions:

  48. Password Suggestions:
  49.   - use long passwords
  50.   - include numbers and symbols
  51.   - use mixed case passwords
  52.   - do not use the same password as you use to lock your Pilot;
  53.     if the Pilot Desktop can get that password I'm sure others can
  54.     as well

  56. No encryption is perfect.  However, if you use long and mixed
  57. passwords this encryption is very secure.

  61. Menu:
  62.   Record
  63.     Edit     - Edit the current selected record in the database
  64.     New      - Create a new record in the database
  65.     Delete   - Delete the current selected record from the database

  67.     About    - Display the program about dialog

  72.     Copy     - Copy the currently marked text to the pilot clipboard

  88.   On the List View:
  89.   Select the record to work with then the menu option.  The record can
  90.   also be quickly accessed by double clicking on it.

  92.   On the Edit View:
  93.   Enter your data into the data field.  Then enter a password and
  94.   press the Encrypt button.  DO NOT forget your password, there is
  95.   no way to retrieve the data without it.

  97.   The first line of the data is not encrypted so that you can use it
  98.   title your data.

  102.   Full conduit DLL Path: gencn20.dll

  115.   Registration can be done using the supplied Registration software.

  117.   The registration is done via Kagi (http://www.kagi.com).  You may register
  118.   via email, mail, or fax.  Kagi accepts major credit cards, check, money
  119.   orders, First Virtual and cash.

  121.   Just run the REGISTER.EXE and follow the instructions.
