Transcription: In 1600, Kepler found another variable star in the Swan. It is known today as P. Cygni. Kepler first described it in 1602, but did not publish his observations until 1606, when he included it in a treatise written about the 1604 supernova. Apparently, Kepler waited for confirmation from other astronomers. For the supernova of of 1604, he confirmed what others had found with respect to the star of 1572.
