When it is morning on the Moon, the Earth is at last quarter, but from Earth the Moon is at first quarter. At noon, the Earth is full from the Moon, and the Moon is full as seen from the Earth. During the lunar evening the Earth is at first quarter. From Earth the Moon is at last quarter. Mr. Beatle was now seeing the Earth at last quarter, and so it must be morning on the Moon.
