  7. Existing JackFlash Users:
  8.  
  9. The new version can be installed directly over your existing copy.  There is no
  10. need to disable or delete the existing installation.

  13. HackMaster Users:
  14.  
  15. Please note that HackMaster version 0.9 is NOT compatible with JackFlash.
  16. Please use version 0.91 which is available from the support area of our
  17. website.  A good and free alternative to HackMaster that also works with 
  18. JackFlash is EVPlugBase by EVSoft.  It is available from Handango, PalmGear 
  19. and other sites that carry Palm software.

  22. Flash Compatiblity:
  23.  
  24. Most applications work well in Flash, but some do not.  You may want to check
  25. the list of flash compatible applications that is maintained at 
  26. http://www.asynccomputing.com.
  27.  
  28. Applications which need to be "Enabled" may not work correctly with JackFlash.
  29. Please avoid placing these programs into Flash.
  30.  
  31. The main exception to this rule are Launchers such as Launch 'em and Handscape.
  32. These applications are safe to place into Flash.

  35. Upgrading to OS 3.5:
  36.  
  37. Currently we have not updated the sizes in the upgrade dialog for OS 3.5.  If
  38. you are upgrading an earlier machine to OS 3.5 please first remove all contents
  39. of the flash and release the flash before performing the upgrade.  We will be
  40. releasing an update with the new upgrade sizes later.

  43. Recovery from a Hard Reset or Battery Failure:
  44.  
  45. In the event of a hard reset or a total battery failure, you will need to enable
  46. the contents stored in Flash.  Please read the restoring.txt file for details
  47. about how best to do this.
