  4. Welcome to Stock Manager! The complete portfolio manager that
  5. will also update your stock portfolio with the latest stock information 
  6. from the Internet.

  8. To install:
  9.  
  10. - Run StockManagerInstall.exe. This will install the Stock Manager conduit,
  11. set the Stock Manager program to be installed on your Palm at the next HotSync
  12. and install the Stock Manager Desktop Watcher.
  13. - Do a HotSync to install the Stock Manager program on your Palm.
  14.  
  15. You are can now enter your stocks in the Stock Manager program on your Palm
  16. and have them updated everytime you do a HotSync. Remember that only the first 7
  17. stocks will be updated when the program is unregistered, so register today!
  18.  
  19. Dont forget to try the Stock Manager Desktop Watcher. It is a handy utility
  20. that allows you to check the latest stock market information without having to
  21. HotSync or open your web browser! To launch it click on the Windows Start button,
  22. go to Programs, Stock Manager and Stock Manager DW.

  37. Follow these guidelines to see how you should upgrade to the latest version:

  39. - All Versions above v1.3 : follow the normal upgrade instructions below.
  40. - All Version below v1.2 : follow the special upgrade instructions below.

  43. NORMAL UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

  46. - Run StockManagerInstall.exe to install the new conduit and set the new 
  47. Stock Manager program to be installed on your Palm at the next HotSync.
  48. - Re-enter your registration code in the conduit.

  51. SPECIAL UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

  54. - Do a HotSync to back up your Stock Manager database
  55. - On your Palm, delete the Stock Manager application
  56. - Run StockManagerInstall.exe to install the new conduit and set the new 
  57. Stock Manager program to be installed on your Palm at the next HotSync.
  58. - On your PC, launch the Palm Install Tool from: Start > Programs > Palm Desktop
  59. - Click on "Add"
  60. - Go to the directory where you installed the Palm Desktop software. For example:
  61. C:\Program Files\Palm Desktop", go to a subdirectory that is like your HotSync
  62. name, for example "DoeJ", go to a subdirectory called "Backup" and select the
  63. files StockMgrDB.pdb and StockNoteDB.PDB

  68. Now comes with a handy desktop tool called Stock Manager Desktop Watch that 
  69. allows you to check the latest stock rates right on your desktop without 
  70. HotSync'ing and without launching your browser! Note: Stock Manager DW is
  71. a little standalone utility not connected to Stock Manager on the Palm.
