  4. If you are uprgading from a previous numeric version to
  5. v0.5 with the same cryptography type you dont have to do 
  6. anything but install the new Strip.prc file. 
  7.  
  8. If you are upgrading and also changing cryptosystems(or
  9. just changing crypto) you must use the Strip Crypt-Switch 
  10. utility (StripCS.prc). StripCS re-encrpyts your palm
  11. databases so you can switch versions of strip easily.

  13. Currently StripCS offers you the followin options:
  14.  
  15. 3-Way -> Idea
  16. Idea -> 3-Way
  17. Idea -> DES
  18. DES -> Idea
  19. DES -> 3-Way
  20. 3-Way -> DES

  22. Begin by installing StripCS.prc onto your Palm.
  23. Once the installation is complete simply run
  24. StripCS and select the neccesary conversion from
  25. the list and enter your password. When you click the
  26. Re-Crypt button, your databases will be re-encrypted.

  28. The Encryption process may take a while, be patient.
  29. When it is finished StripCS will pop up a dialog box
  30. telling you how many systems and accounts have been
  31. changed over.

  33. After the proccess is complete clicking Ok will 
  34. reset your palm. Do not be concerned, you will
  35. not loose any information.

  37. NOTE: If this is the first time you are using
  38. Strip it is not neccesary to run StripCS.
