  1. The utilities from the Microsoft Windows NT Resource Kit are included 
  2. here for your convenience.  Their use is governed by the license agreement 
  3. for the Microsoft Windows NT Resource Kit.   These utilities are not to 
  4. be sold or redistributed without express written permission from Microsoft.  
  5. These utilities are provided as-is.   There is no support for them.  
  6. For more detailed instructions on these utilities, you should purchase 
  7. the Microsoft Windows NT Resource Kit.  To order, please call Microsoft 
  8. Press at 1-800-MS-PRESS or go to your local book and software stores.

  10. They are organized into self-extracting archives that are duplicates of 
  11. the Windows NT Resource Kit CD-ROM.  Separate archives have been placed 
  12. here for different platforms(Alpha for DEC Alpha-based PCs, mips for 
  13. MIPS-based PCs and i386 for Intel x86-based PCs).  Expand the archives 
  14. for your platform into a temporary directory and run install.exe from 
  15. there.  This will install the utilities to your PC properly.

  17. The README.WRI file is included in this subdirectory for your
  18. convenience.  The file is a duplicate of the one found in the root
  19. directory of Windows NT Resource Kit CD-ROM disk.

  25. The perftool subdirectory contains the self-extracting archive (use
  26. "perftool.exe -d" to expand the file properly and rebuild the subdirectory
  27. structure) that contains the optimizing tools that are included with Book
  28. Three of the Windows NT Resource Kit.  It contains the tools for the Intel
  29. x86-based, MIPS-based and DEC Alpha-based PC platforms.
