  1. The utilities from the Windows NT Resource Kit are included here for
  2. your convenience.  There is no licensing agreement associated with
  3. their use.  They are organized into self-extracting archives that are
  4. duplicates of the Windows NT Resource Kit CD-ROM.  Separate archives
  5. have been placed here for different platforms(Alpha for DEC Alpha-based
  6. PCs, mips for MIPS-based PCs and i386 for Intel x86-based PCs).  Expand
  7. the archives for your platform into a temporary directory and run
  8. install.exe from there.  This will install the utilities to your PC
  9. properly.

  11. The README.WRI file is included in this subdirectory for your convenience.
  12. The file is a duplicate of the creadme.now file found in the root
  13. directory of Windows NT Resource Kit CD-ROM disk.

  19. The perftool subdirectory contains the self-extracting archive(use "perf.exe -d"
  20. to expand the file properly and rebuild the subdirectory structure) that contains
  21. the optimizing tools that are included with Book Three of the Windows NT Resource
  22. Kit.  It contains the tools for the Intel x86-based, MIPS-based and DEC Alpha-based
  23. PC platforms.
