  4. Changes to the manual
  5. =====================

  7. Net&Web no longer attempts to run during the installation. You must run the
  8. Net&Web program and select the connect button. A modem compatibility list is
  9. not yet available. If you are adding you own initialisation string, you must
  10. include the string which instructs your modem to ignore DTR, this is usually AT&D0
  11. or AT&D, check your modem manual.

  13. N&WEditor
  14. =========

  16. This editor is also included with Net&Web to allow you to edit any script files or
  17. write email messages with.

  19. Netscript

  22. Netscript now has the following syntax:

  27. FTP Syscheck

  30. Runs the system check to determine out of date or incorrect Workbench files.

  40. Runs the Ibrowse web browser.

  87. To show all your current settings, run the Netscript program from a CLI/Shell with
  88. the DEBUG switch

  94. This will list the current settings.

  96. If you change any of these settings, you must remove the files
  97. "Net&Web:Login.IPDial" and "Net&Web:Scripts/Net&WebEnvs".

  99. EXTRACTFILE Switch

  102. The extractfile switch can be used to extract files, this is ideal if you are
  103. limited experience of the Shell.

  105. SETUP Switch

  108. This switch allows you to alter the individual settings within Net&Web.
  109.  
  110. Settings (Scripts drawer)

  113. The settings program allows you to easily alter your login/modem/etc. settings.

  115. Additional scripts
  116. ==================

  118. Additional setup options will be available to setup email clients and other
  119. service providers, see the HiSoft web page for latest information + links to
  120. useful files.

  122. Adding PPP support
  123. ==================
  124.  
  125. An additional netscript option called setupppp has been added. This is used with
  126. the PPP archive (URL: http://www.wuarchive.wustl.edu/~aminet/comm/net/PPP1_45.lha
  127. or PPP1_45reg.lha for the registered version), and type "Netscript setupppp" into
  128. a shell, Netscript will ask you to locate the PPP archive and it will then install
  129. the PPP files onto your hard drive.
