  1. Satan's National Park.

  4.   This work, of a rather unusual name and theme, is the work of
  5. a good friend of mine, Joseph Norman. He is the graduate of a
  6. fine arts Univerity, that did not involve compter art, hence the
  7. "fresh feel"; The original ideas had to undergo *considerable*
  8. watering down and metamorphosis during discussions with myself;
  9.   We were at the time limited to a 1meg A2000, and DPaint3, and
  10. neither of us had tried any animation before.
  11.  
  12.   (1)  We definitely wanted to use digitized pictures as a
  13.        backdrop to all the "action". We eventually had to
  14.        limit the pictures to 6 grey levels, allowing two
  15.        colours to be chosen at will (out of an 8-palette)
  16.  
  17.   (2)  Joe's idea was originally of a "Roger Rabbit" type
  18.        animation; This was before he discovered we would need
  19.        40 megs of mem for 5 minutes of such stuff!! Hence we
  20.        ended up with something more like a storytelling-slideshow,
  21.        than a real anim.

  26.   (3)  I still do not understand all the symbolic ideas behind,
  27.        this work, and so don't expect to either. Just enjoy!!

  29.   This project has been quite a learning experience for me, and
  30. even more so for Joe, since he had to learn to grapple with mice,
  31. and Workbench, etc. It would be appreciated if you could let him
  32. or myself know of any comments, criticisms, hints or ideas.
