  1. Gulf Conflict-- an Aerotoon by Eric Schwartz

  3. All During the war with Iraq, various people kept asking me to do an
  4. animation concerning the event. It may be a little late, but here it is.
  5. Gulf Conflict was created with the aid of such things as DeluxePaint 3,
  6. Imagine, Disney Animation Studio, the AProDraw and Tablet, Draw 4D Pro(on
  7. loan from Merical Computers), The Art Department, and the ever-present 
  8. Moviesetter. The anim's visual style is heavily inspired by the Planetside
  9. CDTV demo by Psygnosis(sorry, no super-fast fractal scapes here tho'). One
  10. thing I would fix if I had to do it over again are the ugly pallete
  11. shifts between some scenes. Those were all my fault, as my palletes were
  12. all wildly different when they didn't need to be.

  14. This Animation requires at least two megabytes of RAM to run. If your
  15. workbench is not too demanding, you probably can run this with 2 megs. If
  16. you have a Hard Drive or a demanding workbench eating up your memory, you
  17. will most likely need about 2.5 megs. For the sake of fitting on one disk,
  18. the player program, MoviePlayer, was compacted with PowerPacker. The
  19. compressed player has been known to have some troubles with sound when
  20. running under Kickstart 2.x, so I reccomend either using an uncompressed
  21. version of Movieplayer, running under 1.3, or both. This disk is also
  22. bootable so try booting with it if all else fails.

  25. Player and this README are present upon disrtibution.
