  1. ShadowMaster is a tool that makes getting interesting screen saver
  2. graphics running easier than it is with stock AmigaDOS. All the owrk
  3. of watching the input stream, starting and stopping the graphics is
  4. done for you. All you have to do is open a screen and draw into it,
  5. while watching for a Control-C signal. I've even provided templates
  6. for doing such.

  8. In one sense, ShadowMaster is freeware. The freely distributable
  9. package is in no way crippled or a "demo" version. However,
  10. ShadowMaster is shareware in sense closer to the meaning of the word
  11. than most packages distributed with that label; I want people to share
  12. screen saver modules with me, and to allow me to share them with
  13. others. To encourage that, the freely distributable package has only a
  14. small number of savers. A larger collection - along with the latest
  15. version of ShadowMaster - can be obtained by sending me a new saver
  16. for that collection. For those whose talents don't lean towards
  17. graphics code, a cash contribution can be made instead. See the file
  18. Distribution for details.

  20. Start by reading the file docs/Install. docs/ShadowMaster is probably a
  21. good bet for the next thing to read, with docs/ScreenSaver being a
  22. close second.

  24. The file freebiez.lzh in the commercial version is the freely
  25. distributable version of shadowmaster. Feel free to give it to all
  26. your friends. In fact, you'd be doing me a favor by spreading it as
  27. far as possible.
