  7.        ReqChange is  a  program  that  makes  the system use ReqTools (⌐
  8.     Nico  Franτois)  for  requesters.  The  ReqTools requesters are much
  9.     nicer  to use, and that is why I've written this program. The icon's
  10.     Tooltypes  contains  all  possible  arguments,  set  to  the default
  11.     values. ReqChange works on both OS 2.04 and OS 1.2/1.3.

  13.        A quick  installation guide: To install ReqChange, simply run the
  14.     program  (after  copying  apropriate  version of reqtools.library to
  15.     LIBS:.  The  Install  script  will  do this for you). If you have OS
  16.     2.0,  a  settings  window  will  pop  up, allowing you to adjust the
  17.     settings. This should be quite straigt-forward.

  19.        In the  drawer  named  Upd,  you  can find Upd, a "minimal player
  20.     daemon",  which  is  ⌐  1991 Jonas Petersson & Absolut Software (aka
  21.     Sirius  Soft).  Upd  is  used  by  ReqChange  to get requesters with
  22.     "sound   effects".   Upd   is  "Freely  Distributable  Copyrighted",
  23.     included here by courtesy of Jonas Petersson, the author.

  25.        The Install  icon  will install some important files for you. You
  26.     will  be  asked  for  every  item in question. ReqAsk and GetFile is
  27.     used  to  interact  with the user. Since GetFile and ReqAsk requires
  28.     OS  2.04  to  run, these programs will neither be used nor installed
  29.     if  you  run  the script under OS 1.2/1.3. The script will therefore
  30.     be somewhat primitive if you have OS 1.3.

  32.        The Demo  icon  will  start a little script that tests the ReqAsk
  33.     and  GetFile programs. It also serves as a good example on how these
  34.     two  programs  work  (the Install.script is another example). It can
  35.     also be used as a test to see the changes that ReqChange does.

  37.        The two  requester  programs  (ReqAsk  and GetFile) are placed in
  38.     the  public  domain.  They  currently only operate under OS 2.04. Do
  39.     whatever  you  want  with  them.  ReqChange  on  the other hand is ⌐
  40.     Copyright 1992 Magnus Holmgren.

  42.        Extra/GetEnv.Rexx is  an  example  script  on  how  to obtain the
  43.     contents  of a global environment varible. This way it's possible to
  44.     use  GetFile  and  ReqAsk  from  ARexx (you must use the GLOBAL flag
  45.     with  ReqAsk  and  GetFile  for this).  Note that the example script
  46.     should be called as a function, e.g.: "say getenv( kickstart )".

  48.        In the  drawer  named  Extra you can find GetEnv.Rexx, the source
  49.     and  documentation for GetFile and ReqAsk, as well as error free (or
  50.     so  I  hope  :)  linker  libraries  to  access  ReqTools  from  DICE
  51.     (LibSrc.Lha).  There you can also find SignalRC (with source), which
  52.     allows you to send break signals to ReqChange.
