  1.         Ok, I must admit that I was totally impressed with the first few
  2. entries that came in. Some of them solved the whole thing in less
  3. than ten minutes! "Hey!", I thought, "this is faster than C!"
  4. Boy, was I in for a surprise.
  5.  
  6.         When "IT" came in, before we even looked at "IT," we knew this
  7. probably would be nice. After all, a 178k program probably has
  8. some music and good graphics. After we reviewed the program,
  9. we were in such shock that I immediately sent a message to the
  10. people who wrote the program asking if it's his own work or something
  11. his math professor coded out of boredom. Mike spent that time
  12. banging his head against the wall, crying, "I can't believe it . . .
  13. This can't be happening! I should have written it . . .  (etc.)"
  14.         Well AMOSers and AMOSettes, we are proud to present this entry
  15. by Scott Bonen & Mike Sheldrake. Is it fast? Yes, it's definitely
  16. fast. The program can find a solution from square A1 in less than four
  17. seconds and from most other squares, less then 15. I
  18. still keep playing with it in my free time. Better go now.  Mike just
  19. fainted when he saw the speed of this program when compiled!  Call 911!
