  1.     Monday, 6pm, and it's raining hard outside.  The farmers
  2. must be happy right now because the rain is good for the fields.
  3. Rain, however, is bad for outdoors basketball, which means
  4. it's good for the Amoner magazine because I sit and work
  5. on it instead of playing outdoors basketball with my friend.
  6. I wonder if farmers think of outdoor basketball at a time
  7. like this.  Oh well, whatever . . . 
  8.  
  9.     Now that I've drained that rainy subject, I guess
  10. we better talk about the disk which rests inside your disk
  11. drive right now: The Amoner Disk.  What do we have on it
  12. this time?  Well, first we have quite an impressive graph
  13. producing program called "AGraph."  This good-looking entry
  14. is by Dave Smith from the United Kingdom.  The program is
  15. shareware and only the compiled code is available on the
  16. disk.  Source will be received by those who register
  17. (see the Agraph docs).  As we've started talking about
  18. shareware, some of you probably wonder what is it all about.
  19. good!  The Article "Shareware - The Solution" comes to clarify
  20. the idea behind shareware with some minor reference in its usage
  21. with AMOS. Paul Holt & Stefo (who is wanted so we can't give
  22. out his real name) burst out with another interesting entry -
  23. Gunner. This program is under 10k, but it's graphic+music banks
  24. almost run my poor computer out of memory... notice the
  25. impresive looking intoduction. As for the game itself, well,
  26. hmmmm, what were we talking about? ah yes! we have a new section
  27. on our disk, "Tiny Hacks."  Here, we are expecting programs of any
  28. kind that answer one rule: they have to be under 10k, including
  29. memory banks.  This disk contains two "Tiny Hacks."  The first is
  30. by our Assistant Editor, Michael Cox, that calculates bank loans.
  31. The other is "Explode," a small strategy game (by me) that can
  32. provide you with hours of fun (I hope).  Since small programs are
  33. easier to follow, we feel they could provide you with good study
  34. material.  Writers of "Hacks" are asked to provide us with good
  35. documentation. Thank you.

  37.     Next Disk is already on it's way and should be out by
  38. the beginning of December. Accpect the winning entry for the Knight
  39. trip programming puzzle, An interesting musical display equliser
  40. from Dave Smith (good work dave!), a simple word puzzle game for
  41. the young and the old and much much more. The new disk will
  42. also contain a more consist start-up program which we will use
  43. in our future disks. New entries for the knight trip problem are
  44. still accpted, and will be till the 30 of november.

  47.   Last, let's not forget to say that the programs on this disk are
  48. written with "Amos - The creator" from Mandarin Software.  Yea!
