- Welcome to the second AMONER Project disk!! It is great to be back!
-
- This disk is dedicated to all AMOS users/programmers, especially to
- Francois Lionet creator of AMOS. (Mike would like to personally thank
- Alison Ford of Europress Customer Service for her great help!)
-
- Now, some quick instructions:
-
- NOTE: THESE PROGRAMS MAY OR MAY NOT WORK ON MACHINES WITH LESS THAN
- 1024k OF MEMORY.
-
- NOTE NOTE:THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
- THESE PROGRAMS ARE "AS IS" AND WE DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR
- THEIR ACTIONS.
- (General Disclaimer, huh?? 8)
-
- First, boot from the AMONER002 disk. This will make sure that the
- maximum amount of memory is available. Also, the startup file will
- attempt to put your machine into PAL mode if it is in NTSC mode.
- If you are unable to go from NTSC to PAL because you do not have
- the 1MB CHIP AGNUS, you can remove the lines:
-
- paltest
- If WARN
- palcon >NIL:
- boot
- EndIf
-
- Also, a little script is executed, which tries to write to a temporary
- file in the T directory, so make sure the disk is not write-protected.
-
- The main screen will appear after a short wait. On this screen, you
- will see the credits in the middle of the screen surrounded by 4 blue
- areas with the word 'Click' in each one.
-
- The options are selected by clicking with the left mouse button (LMB)
- on one of the areas containing the word 'Click.' Note that the area turns
- red when the Mouse pointer enters the area and the selection that the area
- controls appears below the credits.
-
- Editorial/Policy [Upper Left]
- EDITORIAL (This is a short letter from Gal-on. A file scroller will
- appear.)
-
- POLICY (Just a short note on some of the AMONER Project's policies)
-
-
- AGraph [Upper Right]
- AGRAPH (When you enter this area, a 'commercial' for
- AGraph will appear where the credits are. AGraph proves that
- AMOS isn't just for games! Check the AMONER002:Doc directory
- for more information)
-
-
- Tiny Hacks [Bottom Left]
- EXPLODE (A cute game by Gal-on. Very addictive! Look at the docs in
- the Doc directory.)
-
- LOANCALC (A loan calculator that was ported to AMOS. Check the Doc
- directory for a little article on porting to AMOS)
-
-
- Gunner [Bottom Right]
- GUNNER (This is another game, by Paul Holt. Great intro and fun
- to play! Make sure your stereo is turned up to 11!
- To quit the game, press the ESC key)
-
- Quit [Credits Area]
- QUIT (We all know what this does. You will be dropped into
- the Doc directory in case you wish to view the doc
- files. Use the 'less' command to view the files)
-
- We hope you enjoy it and we would appreciate it if you sent us comments,
- good or bad! You can mail them to:

- Enjoy, folx!!
-
- P.S. If you do not like having to boot from the AMONER002 disk, it is very
- simple to run the main menu from the CLI. Change your directory to
- AMONER002: and enter 'execute s/startupII'. Like so:
-
- 1> cd amoner002:<RETURN>
- 1> execute s/startupII<RETURN>
-
- (The '1>' is the CLI prompt, and '<RETURN>' means press the return key)
- The reason that you execute the startupII file is that it determines whether
- or not you are going to run AGraph.
