  1. STUDENT AID HELP - EDIT/CREATE TEST
  2.  
  3. This is the area where you may edit or create a test/quiz. There are two modes
  4. here. The view mode - which allows you to view and scan through the questions
  5. in the test, and the edit mode - which allows you to input information or edit
  6. current question/answer information.
  7.  
  8. When you first entered this area you were presented with a row of gadgets in
  9. the top row - this is the view mode. From here you can scan through the
  10. questions in the test simply by pressing + or - or by clicking the respective
  11. +/- on gadget. To quickly move to the top, bottom or a certain question you
  12. can do so by selecting the Top, Last or Goto# gadgets.

  14. The edit mode is entered when you select either the M)odify question or the
  15. A)dd question gadget/keypress. Once you are in the edit mode you can continue
  16. to enter information until you press the ESC key. One important note about
  17. the edit mode - If you wish to change only the question without changing the
  18. currently selected correct answer, press escape before your cursor moves into
  19. the answer blocks (else you'll have to re-identify which is the correct
  20. answer). There are two additional edit modes: W)hy edit, and S)ummary edit.

  23. AVAILABLE OPTIONS: (Click on gadget or select 1st CAPITAL letter)

  25. F)ormat - There are 5 pre-defined answer formats, this selection toggles the
  26.   current answer format to use for question. (note: the questions are always
  27.   78 characters x 5 lines). The answer formats for a question are as follows:

  29.   1) 2 Answers (76 characters x 6 lines each) ie.. TRUE FALSE
  30.   2) 3 Answers (76 characters x 4 lines each)
  31.   3) 4 Answers (76 characters x 3 lines each) typical Multiple Choice
  32.   4) 5 Answers (76 characters x 2 lines each)
  33.   5) 8 Answers (76 characters x 1 line each)

  35. W)hy edit - Enter edit mode for a brief (3 line X 50 chr) description of
  36.   why the right answer is so. Displays only if test taker has VERBOSE WHY on.

  38. S)ummary edit - Allows you to change summary page information. This is the
  39.   information displayed after the user completes the test as a final note
  40.   or to allow him to compare his grades to some given standard.

  42. M)od - Enter edit mode and MODify current question and answer.

  44. A)dd - Enter edit mode and ADD a new question to this test.
  45.  
  46. G)oto# - Allows you to GOTO a certain question number in the current test.
  47.  
  48. [+/-] - Moves you to next or previous question in current test.
  49.  
  50. T)op - Moves you to the top (or first) question in test.
  51.  
  52. L)ast - Moves you to the last question in the test.
  53.  
  54. H)elp - This got you to where you are now!

  56. E)xit - This quits edit/create function and returns you to Main Menu.
