  5.     The VLT manual is an official publication by the Stanford Linear
  6. Accelerator Center. You can obtain it, free of charge, by writing to

  21. The manual is very complete, it is 122 pages in single-spaced fairly small
  22. type. Amanda did one heck of a job on it, as I'm sure you'll find out when
  23. you get it. You do not have to live in the US to be eligible to receive the
  24. manual. The manual is *only* available in printed form.
  25.     It was originally written for version 4.824, but it has since been
  26. revised twice and currently reflects the status of version 5.045. New
  27. features are described in the VLT documentation file in this directory,
  28. but this document assumes you have the manual. We expect to release an
  29. updated manual around september 1992.
  30.     Please do not write the Publications Department about problems with
  31. the program, or for copies or updates of the software itself. They do not
  32. have access to such, nor can you depend on them passing your letters on to
