  2. Welcome Guest to TransAmiga BBS!

  4. As a new user, you will have reduced access.  If you wish to become a
  5. member of this board, you must select the "J" option from the main menu to
  6. join the BBS.  To receive full access to the board, you must wait to be
  7. validated by the SysOp, which should usually happen within 24 hours.

  11. A few things to know about TransAmiga:
  12.  
  13. TransAmiga has a few features you may wish to know about.  You can
  14. retrieve lines that you have previously entered into the BBS by pressing
  15. CTRL-K, TransAmiga keeps track of the last 20 commands you entered.  You
  16. can also erase the current line completely by pressing CTRL-X.  If your
  17. terminal has ANSI graphic capabilities, it is recommended you turn ANSI
  18. on, then you can also use the cursor keys, the backspace key and the
  19. delete key to edit the current line.  ANSI users can also use the
  20. full-screen editor for writing messages.

  22. When you enter commands in TransAmiga, you must press RETURN at the end of
  23. a line.  However, you can "stack" several commands on one line, and
  24. TransAmiga will process the entire batch at once.  If you prefer, however,
  25. you may switch to hotkeys, where commands are processed immediately
  26. without pressing RETURN.

  28. At just about any menu, you can press "H" to get explanations about
  29. available commands.

  35. I don't like to have too many rules, but a few are necessary so here they
  36. are:

  38.  * Be courteous.  No swearing, "hacking," or insults. 
  39.  
  40.  * Do not upload any pirated software.  Do not even talk about piracy.  If
  41.    you're a pirate, get the hell off my board.

  43.  * Keep in mind that I am giving up My time so you can use this BBS.  Keep
  44.    in mind also that there are other people on this BBS, so please keep
  45.    their feelings in mind too.
