  2. Usage: MODE [+|-]<modechars> <paramters>
  3.   This command allows the channel operator to set various
  4.   characteristics of the channel.  <modechars> is as
  5.   follows:
  6.     i          - Channel can exist without any users.
  7.                  That is, the channel is immortal.
  8.                  This is a SYSOP command.
  9.     l <number> - Channel is limited, where <number> is the
  10.                  maximum number of users allowed.
  11.     n <name>   - Change the name of the channel. Default is
  12.                  +n <operator_name>.
  13.     o <name>   - Makes <name> a channel operator.  Note that
  14.                  any operator in the channel can remove other
  15.                  operators' access.  So, the default operator
  16.                  should choose new operators carefully.
  17.     p          - Channel is private.  Default is -p.
  18.     t <topic>  - Change the topic of the channel.
  19.     w          - Whether messages are allowed to enter this
  20.                  channel. Default is +w
  21.   A + or - sign determines whether the specified mode
  22.   should be added or removed.
  23.   Note that after a channel becomes immortal, all channel
  24.   operators will be dismissed.
