- (GiTAris)
-
- *******************************************************************************
-
- GiTAris is a Tetris-like puzzle-game for the use with
- TransAmiga BBS V1.1 (Copyright by Timothy Aston).
-
- It has been written using ARexx 1.15 (Copyright by
- William S. Hawes).
-
- GiTAris is freely distributable as long as the following
- rules are respected:
-
- - all files of the original archive are left unchanged
- (the user may alter them for his personal use and
- should tell bugs to the author)
- - no profit is made for the distribution
- - I'm not responsable for _anything_ concerning GiTAris
-
- That's all for politics, folks. Do so, and I'm happy.
-
- Requirements:
-
- The only BBS that is able to run GiTAris without rewriting
- some lines of code ist TransAmiga 1.1 (or later).
-
- You NEED ARexx for it, because it's simply an interpreted
- batch-script.
-
- Only users with ANSI-Emulations can play this game in your
- BBS. I do NOT check, if they have ANSI, because alot of my
- users likes the ASCII-Menues _AND_ GiTAris :-)
-
- GiTAris isn't that fast on 68000.
- You'll need an accelerated Amiga to play it.
- On my 68020/14Mhz it's quite fast.
-
- Installation:
-
- - copy GiTAris.trans to your bbs:rexx
- - add a line to your bbs:configs/extra.rx like:
-
- G GiTAris 050 -------- GiTAris.trans
-
- - edit/copy the GiTAris screen out of the text/
- directory of the archive to your bbs:text/.
- Be sure not to move the borders of the tetris-playfield.
- - edit and copy GiTArismenu and GiTAris.help, too
- - if you don't want an empty scorefile, use the one included,
- GiTAris.top, put it into bbs:bulletins/.
- - take a look at the global variable declarations inside
- the source. The should be alright for most purposes, but
- possibly, your BBS is a little non-standard :-)))
- - by default, if some user manages to get to the top of
- the highscorelist, he'll get back all his time for that day.
- You can switch off that feature by setting the 'timeback'
- variable to 0.
-
- Using GiTAris:
-
- OERX - it's like tetris... all features are explained in
- GiTAris.help
