- MineSweeper version 1.1.0
- -------------------------
-
- This program is an OS/2 2.0 version of MineSweeper, a game distributed
- by Microsoft as a part of their Entertainment Pack for Windows, and
- included with Windows 3.1. I attempted to be faithful to the original
- game when designing my interface, so current MineSweeper users will not
- have any learning curve. I plan to add new features, not found in the
- Microsoft game, in future releases.
-
- MineSweeper is a 32-bit executable for use with the OS/2 2.0 operating
- system and it's Presentation Manager graphical interface. It will not
- operate on 16-bit versions of OS/2, such as 1.2 and 1.3.
-
- To run MineSweeper, either double click on it's icon or type "start
- mine" from a text session. If you make a program reference icon for it,
- be sure the startup directory is the same directory that the program and
- its files reside in.
-
- To learn how to play the game, choose "Extended Help" from the "Help"
- menu and read the screens. They should describe the game completely.
-
- Note that help will not be available unless the file MINE.HLP exists in
- the same directory as the MINE.EXE program.
-
- When you quit MineSweeper for the first time, a MINE.INI file will be
- created in the program's directory. It will contain all your settings,
- including the high scores and the window's position. To reset
- everything, just delete this file and it will be created with blank data
- the next time you run MineSweeper.
-
- If there are any problems, I may be contacted in one of the following
- ways:
-
- Internet mail: send e-mail to dic5340@hertz.njit.edu
-
- Snail mail: Write a letter (In English, please!) to:
- David Charlap
- 8 Snow Ridge
- Denville, NJ 07834 - USA
-
- Please notify me of any bugs you may find so I may fix them in future
- releases.
-
- All releases of this program will be initially posted to the Internet in
- the comp.binaries.os2 newsgroup and will be uploaded to the
- ftp-os2.nmsu.edu server. While I may upload this package elsewhere, and
- others may upload it wherever they choose, these two Internet sites are
- the only two places I promise to send every update to.
