  4. Bingo/2 is a 32-bit, multi-threaded, multimedia OS/2 2.x Presentation Manager 
  5. software program which allows you to play many different types of bingo games 
  6. on your computer. Features include: 
  7.  
  8. o Automated or manual play 
  9. o Other players in the bingo hall, you may also hear some chatter 
  10. o Play up to 10 cards at the same time 
  11. o Highly customizable (bingo chip color, sound, draw time interval, etc.) 
  12. o Bingo scores showing number of bingos, number of games and cards played 
  13. o Bingo Board containing status of numbers, game time, graphical bitmap of game 
  14.   type and current number drawn shown 
  15. o Print bingo cards to your local printer 
  16. o Digitized voices throughout. 
  17.  
  18. Playing Bingo/2 is fun and easy. You start with $100 but may win a lot more 
  19. with your luck and skill.

  22. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Playing Bingo/2 ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  24. When you first invoke the program, the Games Option dialog box is displayed to 
  25. allow you to select the type of bingo game to play and the number of bingo 
  26. cards you want to play at the same time. You may also select one or more other 
  27. players to play along (just like in your friendly neighborhood bingo hall). 
  28. Click on Ok to continue. 
  29.  
  30. Once the bingo cards are displayed, select New under File or press F2 to start 
  31. a new game. Numbers are drawn at regular intervals (according to the draw time 
  32. which may be customized using the Settings dialog box). The Bingo Board will 
  33. display the drawn number in reversed video. Numbers previously drawn are 
  34. removed from the Bingo Board. Also, you may pause the game at any time by 
  35. pressing F4 (or Pause from File) and you may draw the next number immediately 
  36. without waiting for the regular draw time interval by pressing F5 (or Next 
  37. number from File).

  39. Mark your bingo card(s) by moving your mouse pointer over a bingo card and 
  40. clicking on a square. A bingo chip will then appear, just like marking your 
  41. bingo card in a bingo hall! But even better, you can let the computer mark your 
  42. bingo cards for you (in case you are a little lazy or a novice player), just 
  43. select Auto Play under the Options menu and sit back and relax.

  45. If a bingo has been found, a Bingo! dialog box will appear containing a list of 
  46. winning bingo card(s). The winner collects the prize money shown in the title 
  47. bar of the Bingo board. The prize money for each game is dependent upon the 
  48. number of players and bingo cards being played.

  50. To see how you are doing and how much money you have left, select Scores under 
  51. File to display the Scores dialog window.

  53. Select New under File again to start a new game.

  58. The Bingo/2 bingo board looks like a real bingo board you would see in any 
  59. bingo hall.

  61. On the top, the title bar contains the game type, the prize money and game 
  62. status (ie. In progress, Game over, etc.).

  64. The bingo board also displays: 
  65.  
  66. o The running time of the game. 
  67. o A graphical picture of the game type is depicted. 
  68. o The current number drawn (in a large font for easy identification). 
  69.  
  70. The current number drawn is also shown in reverse video, while all numbers 
  71. previously drawn are removed from the Bingo board.

  76. The Bingo/2 bingo card looks like a real bingo card you would use in any bingo 
  77. hall.

  79. You may see three types of chips (the color is all the same as you have 
  80. specified in the Settings dialog box). 
  81.  
  82. o Normal chip is solid. 
  83. o The winning bingo squares are marked with a semi-transparent chip so you can 
  84.   see the numbers behind them. 
  85. o An empty chip indicates bingo squares which you forgot to mark! Hopefully, 
  86.   you don't see to many of these.

  88. To mark the card, simply move your mouse pointer over the desired square and 
  89. click either mouse button. If you have the Auto Play option turned on, then you 
  90. don't have to do anything as the computer will automatically play or mark the 
  91. card for you.

  96. You may select one of the many types of bingo games available in Bingo/2.

  99.        Classic game. One horizontal, vertical or diagonal line filled. 
  100.        All numbers. The entire bingo card must be completely filled. 
  101.        X. Form the letter X or two diagonal lines. 
  102.        Diamond. Form a diamond. 
  103.        Four corners. Fill the four corners of the card. 
  104.        Center. Form a cross. 
  105.        Outside square. Form a large square or all squares away from the Free 
  106.        square. 
  107.        Inside square. Form a small square or all squares adjacent to the Free 
  108.        square. 
  109.        T. Form the letter T. 
  110.        Y. Form the letter Y. 
  111.        Z. Form the letter Z. 
  112.        N. Form the letter N.

  471. clicking on the Reset push button.

  501. When the game ends, all other bingo cards shown are removed. You will have to 
  502. reselect in the next game again.
