- =========================
-
- 'Star Trek 1' is a Desktop Screen Saver Extension for John Ridges' DeskPic.
-
- The screen saver presents a scene from an imaginary Star Trek episode where the
- Enterprise is cruising through space, occasionally accelerating to Warp speed.
-
- For the best effect, focus on the centre of the Enterprise. The stars in the
- background give the optical illusion that the ship is coming towards you.
-
- The configuration dialog box has three settings in addition to the usual
- enabled check box.
-
- The 'Enterprise' check box gives the option of turning off the display of the
- Enterprise. With the box checked and the Enterprise displayed, the screen saver
- is not a true screen saver as the Enterprise remains static, but who cares.
-
- The 'Shrinking Stars' check box enables the stars to change size as they get
- further away. Why have an option that does this ? Well, personally, I prefer
- the stars to stay the same size as they move. All my work colleagues however,
- complained about that so I compromised.
-
- The 'How many' edit field simply relates to the number of stars on the screen
- at any one time.
-
- I'm sorry its taken so long to finalise this saver. I am a Windows and Netware
- developer by trade and an OS/2 developer by hobby and desire. My screen saver
- development time is limited therefore to those rare moments of free time at
- home.
-
- If you find a problem with Star Trek 1, please let me know.
- If you like it, let me know.
- If you don't like it, let me know.
- I have a load more screen savers nearing completion. If you have
- a good idea for a new one, let me know and I'll write it for you.
