  1. Welcome to Alarm Pro version 1.4.  Alarm Pro is a 32 bit OS/2* 2.0 program
  2. for managing your Contacts, appointments, important events, and program
  3. scheduling from a convenient desktop clock.

  5. Alarm Pro is SHAREWARE.  You are allowed to try the program for 60 days.
  6. If you find it useful you may register the program with WalkerWerks for
  7. $45.00 U.S.  Run the program for details.

  9. Alarm Pro is also listed the the Compuserve Shareware registration database.
  10. You can register the program on line using your Compuserve account.  To
  11. register type GO SWREG at any ! prompt and follow the menues to register.

  14. You may distribute this program on any Bulletin Board for the purpose
  15. of trial distribution as long as this notice is included and no contents
  16. are altered.  You may not sell this program or a disk containing this

  22. Installation:
  23. Place the executable files in a directory in your LIBPATH.  Executables
  24. include .EXE and .DLL files.  Place the .HLP file in the same directory or
  25. a directory in your HELP path.  Review your CONFIG.SYS file for the
  26. LIBPATH= and SET HELP= statements to find valid subdiretories.

  28. Alarm Pro has many settings to assist in managing your information.  Run
  29. through the menu options and review the default settings to make sure they
  30. are acceptable.

  70.     STRT_VDM.EXE    Command line utility for starting DOS sessions or

  72.                     set the DOS settings for the application when launched.

  74.     EXIT_VDM.COM    Exits Dos Image sessions like typing EXIT at a normal
  75.                     OS/2 or OS/2-DOS session.  Built from sample debug
  76.                     program placed on Compuserve by IBM.  Also provided

  79.     REBOOT.EXE      Utility to warm boot an OS/2 PC.  Works just like
  80.                     CTRL+ALT+DEL.  Useful for scheduled reboots of
  81.                     automated or remote systems.

  85. October 1992    Version 1.0 First Release of Alarm Pro.  Provides all the
  86.                 features of Alarm Clock with the addition of an integrated
  87.                 ToDo List and Contact List.

  89. December 1992   ToDo list expanded into complete form with criticality,
  90.                 view sorting options, archiving.  Overall product improved
  91.                 with new shortcut keys and better placement of dialogs on
  92.                 the desktop.  Desktop Lockup feature similiar to the one
  93.                 provided with OS/2 but with option to not require a password.

  96.                 databases, and autodialer for contact lists.  Set many
  97.                 default values for dates and times on input screens and
  98.                 converted to spin buttons from entry fields so that both
  99.                 Keyboard and Mouse users will have an easier time.
