-
- The Setup dialog allows the user change program settings for the System Sounds
- program. All setup changes are saved when System Sounds is exited and are used
- on subsequent initializations.
-
- Select the Performance radio button to indicate that the program should not
- close and reopen the audio device for each audio event. This setting is
- appropriate when not attempting to run WIN-OS/2 with multimedia extensions
- while BocaSoft System Sounds is running. This selection lends the best
- performance for sound generation.
-
- Select the Compatibility radio button to indicate that the program should close
- and reopen the audio device for each audio event. This is useful when
- attempting to run WIN-OS/2 with multimedia extensions while BocaSoft System
- Sounds is running. This selection has somewhat less performance in generating
- audio events.
-
- Select the Start Minimized check box to indicate that the program should start
- in a minimized state.
-
- Select the Memory File Size Limit entry field to indicate the maximum size for
- files that are to be cached by System Sounds in system memory. This setting is
- useful if you are attempting to associate very large files with system events,
- if the file size is greater than the Memory File Size Limit it will not be
- preloaded into system memory and will be played from disk.
-
- Select the Disable Events check box to disable audio for all System Sounds
- events, this setting does not apply to key sounds. When selected the program
- will unload any memory based audio files, which are not also associated with
- key sounds, from memory.
-
- Select the Disable Keys check box to disable audio for all Key Sounds, this
- setting does not apply to event sounds. When selected the program will unload
- any memory based audio files, which are not also associated with event sounds,
- from memory.
-
- Select the Disable Events, Keys check box to disable audio for all Event and
- Key Sounds. When selected the program will unload all memory based audio files
- and close the audio device.
-
- Select the Volume circular slider control to indicate at what volume level the
- program will generate audio.
-
- Select the OK push button to accept the current settings and dismiss the
- dialog.
-
- Select the Help push button to view this help panel.
