  5. What is LA Times?
  6. -----------------

  8. LA Times is a 32-bit multi-threaded PM application for reading NNTP news via
  9. Internet.  This program requires IBM TCP/IP V1.2.1 or later and OS/2 2.0 or
  10. later, and access to an NNTP news server.
  11.  
  12. LA Times is not free.  You have limited license to use this product for
  13. 30 days.  After this time, you are required to either register the product or
  14. remove it from your system.

  17. Installation
  18. ------------

  20. To install the registered version of LA Times, run the INSTALL program from
  21. the release disk. Select the source and destination drive\directory and press OK.
  22.  
  23. If you are installing the shareware version, create a directory and UNZIP the
  24. ltimes20.zip file into it.
  25.  
  26. You can add the LA Times directory to your program PATH statement and/or
  27. create a WPS object for it.

  29. To execute the program type "LATIMES<Enter>", or, if you have made an object,
  30. double click on that object.

  33. Shareware Registration
  34. ----------------------

  36. Once you have the program running, select Help/Registration Help from the
  37. system menu.  This will tell you how to register your copy of LA Times.

  39. You can use shareware version for 30 days.  After that time you must remove
  40. LA Times from your system or register it, by submitting payment and the
  41. registration form (printable from the help file).

  43. Your registration fee helps pay for the hours I've spent developing the
  44. program, and the hours I will spend on subsequent releases.  I'm not in
  45. this game to make a million - only to break even.

  53. If you find what you think is a program bug, please contact me (see below) as
  54. soon as possible, with a reasonable explanation of the bug and the set-up that
  55. led to it.

  57. Remember use the -l command-line option to produce a LATIMES.LOG file if
  58. possible.  This will make fixing the bug much easier.
