  3.             This is a very single purpose program.  It does
  4.         nothing but dial your phone.  Anything else you want to
  5.         do will require other resources.  This includes entering
  6.         the phone numbers in the data file.

  8.             Program installation:  Unzip the two files dialer.exe
  9.         and dialer.dat to the directory of your choice.  Use the
  10.         facilities of the Workplace Shell to display the program
  11.         icon on the desktop.  With your text editor, make sure
  12.         that the first line of the file dialer.dat is the com
  13.         port to which you have attached your modem.  Any phone
  14.         numbers that you want to enter should use the format of
  15.         those currently in the data file.  That is the name of
  16.         the receiver followed by a space followed by the phone
  17.         number.  Don't put any spaces in the receiver's name, or
  18.         it won't work.  That's it.

  20.             Usage:  Double click the program icon or enter dialer
  21.         from the OS/2 command line.  When the list of place names
  22.         appears, double click the one you want to dial.  When
  23.         your modem has finished dialing, pick up the phone and
  24.         click the OK button.

  26.             There aren't too many checks and balances with this
  27.         program, so if you try, you can probably get it to wreak
  28.         some havoc.  It's my first PM attempt, so have a little
  29.         mercy.

  31.             If you like the program, and you're into registering
  32.         shareware, send me $10 and I'll send you a diskette with
  33.         your name where it now says Unregistered.  If you're not
  34.         interested in registering, but you like the program, go
  35.         ahead and use it on me.  If you don't like the program,
  36.         or it doesn't work, don't tell anybody and delete it from
  37.         your disk.  I take no responsibility for any loss anyone
  38.         may incur for any reason whatsoever.
