- Select Install to install the LAPS product if you invoked LAPS from a diskette
- image or to install additional network adapter support if you invoked LAPS from

- information concerning the location at which you would like LAPS installed.
- LAPS will inform you of the progress of the installation and any problems
- encountered along the way.

- The LAPS product also allows you to install additional network adapter support
- that may be provided by IBM or other vendors on separate diskettes.

- Select Configure to configure LAPS. Configuration is provided via the LAPS

- combination you need will depend on the application programs you use that use
- LAPS.

- A system re-start is required in order to complete the next phase of the
- installation/removal that was performed during this invocation of LAPS. LAPS
- was either unable to replace all the necessary files during an installation or

- in use. These in-use files are termed "locked files". In order for the LAPS
- installation/removal to complete, the locked files must be unlocked. The
- unlocking of files is accomplished by system shutdown.

- Exit the LAPS program by selecting Exit and perform a system shutdown from the
- OS/2 Desktop.

- NOTE: If this is a multiboot system with OS/2 Boot Manager installed, the

- provided by OS/2 EE 1.3 system to not be loaded. As a result, communications
- applications may not function properly or may require configuration. These
- include applications written to the NetBIOS protocol and IEEE 802.2 protocol
- interfaces.
