  1. The file VPR8BPP.ZIP contains the following files:

  3.   README.NOW   - This readme file
  4.   MAKEINST.CMD - Batch file for creating Installation Diskette
  5.   LABEL.INP    - Input file for MAKEINST.CMD
  6.   INSTDISK.EXE - Viper P9000 8 Bpp Display Driver Installation Diskette

  9. In order to create an installation diskette for the Viper P9000 8 Bpp
  10. Display Drivers:

  12.   1) Insert a formatted blank 3.5" High Density diskette
  13.  
  14.   2) Execute the MAKEINST.CMD batch file as follows:
  15.  
  16.         > makeinst <drive:>
  17.  
  18.      Where <drive:> is the letter of the drive containing the 3.5"
  19.      diskette.
  20.  
  21.   3) Once you have created the installation diskette, you should follow
  22.      the instructions contained in the README.1ST file on the newly
  23.      created installation diskette.

  29. After installing the drivers and before shutting down your system, please
  30. make sure you do the following:
  31.  
  32.    1)  Edit your Config.Sys file
  33.    2)  Find the line:  DEVICE=\OS2\POWER_9K\VIPER.SYS
  34.    3)  Move this line so that it is the very first line in the CONFIG.SYS
  35.        file.
