  9.      Rnmail - a program for replying via mail

  18. DESCRIPTION
  19.      Rnmail is a friendly interface for mailing replies  to  news
  20.      articles.   It will ask several questions, then allow you to
  21.      enter your letter, and then mail it off.  If you type h  and
  22.      a carriage return at any point, Rnmail will tell you what it
  23.      wants to know.

  25.      The -h form is used when invoked from rn.   If  your  editor
  26.      can  edit  multiple files, and you want the article to which
  27.      you are replying to show up as an alternate file, define the
  28.      environment  variable  MAILPOSTER as "Rnmail -h %h %A".  You
  29.      can also modify the the MAILHEADER environment  variable  to
  30.      change the header file that rn passes to Rnmail.

  32. ENVIRONMENT
  33.      DOTDIR  If defined, specifies a place other than  your  home
  34.              directory  where 'dot' files may be stored.  This is
  35.              primarily for accounts which are shared by more than
  36.              one person.

  40.      EDITOR  The editor you want to use, if VISUAL is undefined.

  42.              Default: whatever your news administrator installed,
  43.              usually vi.

  45.      HOME    Your home directory.

  49.      LOGDIR  Your home directory if HOME is undefined.

  51.      LOGNAME Your login name, if USER is undefined.

  56.              If defined, contains the name of a file to which the
  57.              finished message will be appended.

  74.      NEWSORG Either the name of your organization, or the name of
  75.              a  file  containing  the  name of your organization.
  76.              (For use at  organizations  where  the  ORGANIZATION
  77.              environmental  variable  is  in  use  for other pur-
  78.              poses). If both NEWSORG and  ORGANIZATION  are  set,
  79.              NEWSORG will override ORGANIZATION.
