ocr: 1642 cm-1-C=C stretch. Normal range. 640+20 cm-1 for cis and vinyl, 6/0+10 cm-l - for trans, tri and tetra substituted. Trans-Z-hexene (overlay menu) has only a very weak absorption, because there is very little dipole change when an internal double bond stretches (it is nearly symmetric)
