  4. These two disks contain a collection of files specifically for the
  5. TurboDOS operating system.  Unless one sneaked by me, I'm the sole author
  6. of all programs, except for some runtime support by Rick Conn (I used
  7. SYSLIB extensively).  Some of the programs are incomplete.
  8.  
  9. NOTE:
  10. All (c) Copyright notices appearing anywhere in these programs are to be
  11. disregarded.  I no longer have the time or energy to support them in any
  12. way and am hereby placing everything in the Public Domain.  Permission is
  13. hereby granted to REMOVE the copyright notices reading "(c) 19.. ESKAY" or
  14. "(c) 19.. S. Kluger" whenever so desired.  If you make any changes and
  15. redistribute them, all I want is a bit of credit in the code.  Price lists
  16. and requests for money are also to be disregarded.  I am simply too busy
  17. to remove all that stuff myself.

  19. Here is a brief rundown of all files without .DOC.  Please note the following
  20. conditions under which source files can be made usable:
  21. 1. I use Rick Conn's SYSLIB version 3.0 extensively.  Just about every 8 bit
  22.    program won't run without it.
  23. 2. I also use some homebrew REL files which may not be on here.  If a program
  24.    insists on an unresolved external, look on a previously released SIG/M
  25.    utilities disk with the missing files, or call your friendly neighborhood
  26.    Remote CP/M system.
  27. 3. Nothing has ever been tested reliably on any version of TurboDOS prior
  28.    to 1.41, so if it works, you're lucky.  Most programs will run fine
  29.    under 1.42 and up.
  30. 4. Many files are squeezed (FILENAME.?Q?)... Find an unsqueezer to make
  31.    then usable.
  32. 5. Some files are in libraries (.LBR).  LU version 3.10 will work fine, but
  33.    I don't trust NULU in a non-CP/M environment.
  34. 6. Source to NSWPT is not available.
  35. 7. All .MAC files for use with M80.  All ASM files for RMAC.  Use of
  36.    Digital Research LINK-80 highly recommended over Microsoft L80!!!

  39. Ok, now to the undocumented files:

  41. ATTREM.*    part of REMDRV.*
  42. BINDEC.A    a binary-to-decimal converter routine (24 bit)
  43. BREAKO.MAC    breaks .O files into individual modules
  44. CBTOD.AQM    CB80 date/time patch
  45. DELALL.MQC    delete all .$$$, .BAK and -PRINT-?.* on drive
  46. DPINST.*    install program for DIRPAT
  47. MASTER
  48. DO FILLB
  49. EMUL.*        NEC V20/V30 8080 emulator. Definitely runs only
  50.         with TurboDOS!
  51. FREE.MAC    display free disk space on all drives
  52. HEXDEC.A    16 bit binary-to-decimal converter
  53. HXDC24.MQC    24 bit binary-to-decimal converter
  54. MENU.*        not quite finished
  55. PD.MAC        display number of used dir entries on disk
  56. RS*.*        reserializer. ideal for distributing OS-extensions
  57.         which must be serialized.
  58. RTDS*.LBR    Remote TurboDos System.  A remote access package.
  59. SUSPEND.*    ++
  60. TCHECK.MAC    ++ (unfinished)
  61. TL*.*        ++ (some unfinished)
  62. TS*.*        ++ (unfinished)
  63. UNDATE.REL    ASCII-to-julian date converter
  64. WHO.MAC        ++ (unfinished)
  65. WILDEX.MAC    wildcard expansion module
  66. WSPAT.ASM    a wordstar patch

  69. The (++) symbol flags files belonging to the UNFINISHED "tShell" system;
  70. a logon/security package designed to outperform all other such packages
  71. currently available for TurboDOS.  Unfortunately, I'll be unable to
  72. continue, so maybe someone else may pick it up, but please leave it in
  73. the Public Domain.
