  3. HOW TO USE MEX TO CONNECT TWO PHONES 
  4. TO COMMUNICATE BY COMPUTERS 
  5. OR TO TRANSFER PROGRAMS
  6.  
  7. 1) One party calls the other on the voice line.
  8. 2) Both turn on modems and go into mex.
  9. 3) Go into terminal mode.
  10. 4) One end types ATA in terminal mode.
  11. 5) The other end types ATD in terminal mode.
  12. 6) The computes CONNECT.
  13. 7) Once connected, leave terminal mode for Mex prompt.
  14. 8) Send via the Xmodem formula, i.e.:
  15.     S Filname.ext
  16.     or
  17.     SK Filname.ext
  18. (The first is for single record transfer, the other for 1K transfer).
