Title : Justice3.map (version 1.0)
Author : David Laprad (a.k.a. "Justice" to unfortunate
DukeMatch opponents)
E-mail : psc10003@frank.mtsu.edu
Web Page : http://www.mtsu.edu/~psc10003 (Check out the
AfterQuake newsletter. Forget Quake! It is
time to start obsessing about id Software's
*next* great game!)
Description : This level started out as a way of my determining
if it were possible to use sprites to construct
convincing beams and raised platforms that players
could walk over and under. I think the effect works
well, and it should make for some interesting
DukeMatch.
As always, my goal was to create a fast and furious
DukeMatch level. This should fit the bill perfectly
for two to four players, though up to six can play
providing no one minds absolute mayhem! :)
This is probably the last map I create with this
look and feel. My next map will be less
geometrically stringent and include some of those
bells and whistles that keep wowing me when I
look at other user maps! Of course, the ultimate
goal will still be to create a map that provides
a high kill rate! :)
Additional Credits to : Brent Gmoser for the Map Editing FAQ, /\/\att
\/\/illiams for playtesting yet another level
(he really isn't that good at 3D games, but he
takes the beating just the same--I guess I owe
him a few OMF sessions...) and to all those map
makers out there who are creating some truly
impressive levels.

* Play Information *
Episode and Level # : E1L1
Single Player : Nope <<yawn>>
DukeMatch Level : Yes
Difficulty Settings : Depends on the skill of your opponents! :)
* Construction *
Base : New level from scratch
Editor(s) used : Build
Known Bugs : Slightly sluggish frame rate due to the
inordinate amount of sprites used in the
construction of beams and platforms. This
level requires a Pentium.
There is also the problem of stationary
sprites that were used in the construction of
beam walls disappearing from certain angles.
This should in no way detract from gameplay,
especially when your soon-to-be-ex best friend
is chasing you with a rocket launcher! :)
