WPPYRMD v1.1
=============
By: Marcus Trisdale
WHAT IS WPPYRMD:
WPPYRMD is an On-Line game for ANY BBS system. It is a Pyramid
Solitairre game, also known as Triangle Solitairre. You go through the deck
up to three times trying to remove all the cards in combinations of 13,
including the cards in the wastepile and deck as well. If the game is won
in just one deal, 100 bonus points are awarded, 50 points for 2 deals and 25
points for 3.
FEATURES OF WPPYRMD:
- Carrier Detection - The game will know if someone drops carrier and
react accordingly.
- Local Aware - If you play locally, the game will detect this from
the dropfile. No need to use /L switch if you have a dropfile
available for local use.
- Multi-Node Support - This game has record and file locking built in.
- Multiple drop file compatibility - WPPYRMD supports 7 dropfile
formats.
- Local switch - Can be played without a dropfile by using the /L
switch.
- Error Help - Error help is built into the program. If an error
occurs, a help file will automatically be created.
- Inactivity Timeout - If the user falls asleep or walks away from the
terminal for 3 minutes, the game will give a 10 second warning then
automatically quit.
If an error occurs while WPPYRMD is running, an error file named
WPPYRMD.ERR will be created. This file will tell you what error number occured
and it will also give you a hint or two on what happenned and how it may be
fixed. If an error occurs that you cannot fix or continually occurs. Please
let me know, I will do my best to ammend the problem. I will need the
information in the WPPYRMD.ERR file.
SETUP:
To use WPPYRMD use the following command line:
WPPYRMD wppyrmd.cfg [/L]
| | |
| | -This switch tells the program to play in local mode.
| | so that you do not have to have a dropfile. Though you
| | still have to have a configuration file.
| |
| -This is the configuration file. It can have any name. This is so
| multi-node BBS's can have a different configuration file for each
| node of the BBS.
|
-This is the filename of the door program itself.
WPPYRMD uses the following dropfiles: DOOR.SYS, DORINFOx.DEF, INFO.BBS,
CALLINFO.BBS, SFDOOR.DAT, CHAIN.TXT, and PCBOARD.SYS. If your dropfile is
not supported you will need one of the many dropfile converters out on the
market. Also, I would like you to send me a description of your dropfile so
that I can support your dropfile.
The WPPYRMD configuration file has the following format:
example config file (WPPYRMD.CFG):
