  8. The Delaware (Middle) river is in the eastern part of the state on the border with New Jersey. This part of the river flows through the Delaware Water Gap National recreation Area in the Appalachian Mountains.

  11. Open year round. Peak visitor month is July. Climate: Winter, 16 to 40 degrees F; Summer, 78 to 88 degrees F.
