  8. The Monument is located in the northeastern part of the state at the Mississippi River. The Monument is three miles north of Marquette on Highway 76.

  11. Open year round. Peak visitor month is July. Winters are cold, Summers are hot.

  14. The Monument contains outstanding examples of prehistoric American Indian mounds, some in the shapes of birds and bears.
