  11. DIRECTIONS
  12. The Monument is in the south-central part of the state. Hagerman is northwest of Twin Falls on the Snake River, near I-80.

  14. WHEN TO VISIT
  15. Open year round. Winters are cold and snowy, Summers are hot and dry.

  17. POINTS OF INTEREST
  18. Extraordinary fossils embedded in the banks of the Snake River have been exposed by the carving action of the river. Planning is underway to provide for continuing paleontological research and for the display and interpretation of fossil specimens.

  21. Picnic areas; hiking.

  23. GENERAL INFORMATION
  24. No Federal facilities. The Monument is now open to the public. Food and supplies are available in Hagerman. Overnight accommodations are available in Twin Falls or Boise. There are campgrounds along I-80.
