  8. The Monument is in south-central Idaho. The Monument is eighteen miles southwest of Arco on US 20, 26, and 93A.

  10. WHEN TO VISIT
  11. Road to the Monument is closed from late November to mid-April due to snow. Visitor Center open year round. Peak visitor month is July. Winters are cold and snowy, Summers are hot and dry.

  14. Volcanic cones, craters, lava flows, and caves make this an astonishing landscape.
