Latest info on "The 3D Globe"

1. Installation & Program Launch
a. Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
b. If Autorun has been enabled, the installation
routine will launch automatically. Please proceed to step d.
c. Choose <Start>, <Run> and type in "D:\Autorun.exe"
(where "D" is the letter assigned to the CD drive).
d. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
e. Setup will automatically create a
"3D Globe" entry in the program group "3D Globe".
f. Launch the program by clicking this entry.
Please ensure that all components displayed during the
installation process have been installed.
If any error message is displayed, please close all application
running in the background, as well as screen savers,
anti-virus applications, etc. then re-install the software.
Warning: Under the first edition of Windows95 installation
may be interrupted by an error message saying that "The required
DLL file OLEPRO32.dll has not been found". If so, please
double-click the file DCOM98.EXE in the Support folder on the CD-ROM.
This will update your system.
Please re-install the software.
2. Installation modes
Minimal installation 285 MB
This installation mode copies the program files and the
database to your hard disk. When running the program,
the CD2 must always be inserted in the CD-ROM drive.
Standard installation 670 MB
This installation mode copies the program files and the
globe maps to your hard disk. When running the program,
the CD1 must always be inserted in the CD-ROM drive.
Complete installation 955 MB
This installation mode copies the program files, the
database, and the globe maps to your hard disk. The program
runs without any CD being inserted.
3. Internet Explorer
To use the contents of the CD-ROM "The 3D Globe" you will
need Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher installed on your computer.
The Internet Explorer 6 is included on this CD-ROM.
Internet Explorer 6 installation does not launch automatically, as
many users will have the browser installed already. To launch the
installation of Internet Explorer 6 manually, double-click
the file ie6setup.exe in the Ie folder on the CD-ROM.
