Viking chisels. The first chisels were probably very similar to some of the stone axes that early man made. The Vikings made chisels from iron - this allowed them to keep them sharp with a whetstone. The top chisel is made in one piece. The bottom chisel has a wooden handle, which is only partly drawn.
