  1. WAR (MAP) FILES

  4. WAR.BMP
  5. -------

  7. These files simply display a map of the Middle East, i.e. Israel, 
  8. Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Iran - and a few more. The nations 
  9. of Kuwait and Iraq are also displayed separately as side panels 
  10. because of their world prominence as of this writing.
  11.  
  12. Windows 3 users may install the map in such a way that it comes up as 
  13. 'wallpaper' whenever Windows is evoked. Simply do the following:
  14.  
  15. 1. Place WAR.BMP in the same directory as Windows 3 along with their 
  16. supplied .BMP files such as CHESS.BMP, PAPER.BMP, PARTY.BMP - etc.

  18. 2. Bring up Windows 3.
  19.  
  20. 3. Locate the Windows' CONTROL PANEL and 'click on it' with your 
  21. mouse.
  22.  
  23. 4. Once the CONTROL PANEL is displayed click on DESKTOP.
  24.  
  25. 5. With DESKTOP now displayed, click on WALLPAPER.
  26.  
  27. 6. Locate and click on WAR.BMP.
  28.  
  29. 7. Click on CENTER, not Tile.
  30.  
  31. 8. Now click on OK and the map will come up as background wallpaper. 
  32. From here on out when you bring up Windows the map will appear. May 
  33. this war be over soon.

  40. This file may be of interest to non Window owners. It is the same map 
  41. and may be manipulated as any .PCX file. For that matter so can 
  42. WAR.BMP be changed by Window 3 users with PaintBrush. Feel free to 
  43. change, exchange, distribute - whatever. Please remove the K5YEF off 
  44. the bottom left corner if you make any changes.
