[HDNG]INTRODUCTION:[EHDNG][PARA]The University of Wales is the 3rd largest in the country after [ULNE][PARA]Open University[EULNE] and [ULNE]University of London[EULNE], but like both others, it's[PARA]rather unusual. It's a federal university, a collection of 6 colleges [PARA]which operate almost entirely independent of each other. [ITAL] Many [PARA]students in Wales don't even realise that their colleges aren't full [PARA]blown universities[EITAL]. Students shouldn't start writing off to the [PARA]University of Wales for its prospectus or wondering why they [PARA]can't find the campus on the map. They should apply instead to [PARA]the constituent colleges, which are, of course, included [PARA]elsewhere in [PUSH]push[EPUSH], as follows:[PARA][ULNE]Aberystwyth, University College of Wales[EULNE][PARA][ULNE] Bangor, University of Wales[EULNE][PARA][ULNE] Cardiff, University of Wales[EULNE][PARA][ULNE] Lampeter, St David's University College[EULNE][PARA][ULNE] Swansea, University College of Swansea[EULNE][PARA][ULNE] University of Wales, College of Medicine[EULNE][PARA][PARA]
