The permanent [PARA]staff includes specialists on finance, housing, postgrads, [PARA]overseas and mature students. The 4 full time and 2 part time [PARA]staff of the University Counselling Service also provide help. The [PARA]Health Service employs 4 doctors, 2 nurses and a dentist and [PARA]has 16 beds and in-patient facilities. Support groups for sufferers[PARA]of eating disorders and survivors of sexual abuse. The SU runs [PARA]the Student Development Unit, an initiative to give undergraduates[PARA]communication and other skills to complement their degrees for [PARA]the outside world.[PARA][BOLD]Women: [EBOLD]The Women's Officer is sabbatical, there's a [PARA]women-only room, and a women's safety bus.[PARA][BOLD]Disabled: [EBOLD][ITAL]The policy is, of course, to encourage applications from[PARA]disabled students, but access is poor and Sheffield's hills can [PARA]give wheelchairs users the hump.
