Its Welfare sabbatical, 2 professional advisers and weekly legal sessions will this year see over 10,000 students. The University also runs a counselling service employing 3 trained counsellors and a health centre for students. [ITAL]The Union has a particularly positive attitude to gays, lesbians and bisexuals, who are a powerfully vocal force amongst the students (Manchester as a whole is a bit of a gay mecca).[EITAL][PARA][BOLD]Women: [EBOLD][ITAL]The Union has a strong policy (often promoting positive discrimination) on women's issues and representation.
