Edinburgh is a regular summer jaunt for the luvvies.[PARA][BOLD]Cinemas:[EBOLD][ITAL] [EITAL]The film club shows some of [ITAL]the more thought-provoking [EITAL]of Hollywood flicks, eg recently, Reservoir Dogs, Thelma and Louise, and, er, Star Wars.[PARA][BOLD]Clubs/discos and music venues:[EBOLD] With a capacity of 1,800 in the Refectory, the University can attract the biggest names including, recently a Megadog-run rave. The Stones played here in 1971 [ITAL](ie when they were good)[EITAL]. The Union Building is so large and offers so many venues that a few years back it was able to play host to 124 bands in 24 hours! The Tartan Bar (cap 450) is transported to dance city every night (adm ú3 on Fridays and Saturdays).[PARA][BOLD]Cabaret:[EBOLD] [ITAL]Top tummy ticklers occasionally[EITAL] in the Riley Hall (cap 800) such as Jo Brand and Henry Normal last year.[HDNG]EATING OUT:[EHDNG][PARA]Students tend to stay in the Union Building during the day where all tastes are catered for in the Union's Mouat Jones Coffee Bar and in 3 of the bars. After dark, all the usual grub is dished out at the wide range of chippies and pizza places. [ITAL]Late night curries are cheap enough not to burn a hole in the pocket, but the same cannot be guaranteed for your bot.
